Nan Inc. is a well-known construction company based in Honolulu, Hawaii. If you’re familiar with Nan Inc., you’re probably familiar with Patrick Shin, the company’s founder. He is the company’s creator and only proprietor, having founded it in 1990.

He was known as Nan Chul Shin in South Korea before moving to the United States. Patrick Shin changed his name to blend in more easily. Of course, things weren’t simple for him at first, as his family was struggling and they shared a one-bedroom apartment. Fortunately, he was able to pursue studies in business administration thanks to a football scholarship that placed him at Bowling Green State University in Ohio.

He then relocated to Hawaii, where he worked for a construction firm. He decided to start his firm after working for two years, and Nan Inc. was born. This, however, was only the beginning; there was still a long way to go. Several projects have been done by the company throughout Hawaii and the surrounding areas. They have completed over 3,500 multimillion-dollar projects and have earned a reputation for providing great construction management services due to their technical knowledge. The company’s rapid growth was due to Patrick Shin’s perseverance in the face of stiff competition.

Regardless, maintaining a multibillion-dollar corporation is no easy undertaking, and Nan Inc. and its founder have had to deal with lawsuits despite their efforts. Everything you need to know about Nan Inc. owner lawsuit is that he has won a whistleblower lawsuit brought by the firm’s former in-house lawyer, Bosko Petricevic.

Bosko Petricevic claimed he was sacked by Nan Inc. after urging the corporation not to engage in “illegal activities” in connection with the multibillion-dollar transit project. In 2019, he filed a lawsuit against his former company, Nan Inc, stating that the local construction company had been involved in some illegal actions, not all of which were related to rail.

The jury was found in favor of Nan Inc owner Patrick Shin on July 21, 2021. Petricevic was not fired as a result of his whistleblowing, according to the jury. The jury also rejected Nan’s counterclaim, according to the verdict sheet, claiming Petricevic had painted the company’s CEO in a misleading light.

“This verdict establishes that Nan, Inc.’s termination of the plaintiff was proper and legal,” Shin said in a statement released on Thursday. Nan, Inc.’s diligent workforce and leadership position in the Hawaiian community over the last 30 years have been validated by this outstanding result. Petricevic remained silent on the ruling on Friday. He hasn’t said if he intends to appeal.

The victory was encouraging because Nan Inc. is committed to working for the welfare of the community, and the litigation was about unjust termination. Similarly, Patrick Shin is a wonderful philanthropist who has worked for a variety of causes and cherishes his company’s employees, and he didn’t want his company’s reputation to be tarnished. Ultimately, the firing was legal and fair, preserving the company’s reputation.
